Established in 1999, Waverley Montessori Early Learning Centre has been nurturing curious, confident children in Mulgrave for over 25 years. We offer long day care in a purpose-built centre with wide open spaces, natural light, and a large outdoor play area — all guided by authentic Montessori principles.
Using the Montessori philosophy, we approach each child's learning individually and provide an authentic Montessori education within a childcare setting. We teach children maths, reading and writing, as well as practical life skills using Montessori materials. As a small centre, we target each child's potential and provide a stimulating, warm and friendly environment where we guide children to achieve the best they can. Our aim is to give every child a happy, stimulating experience — encouraging them to explore language, maths, cultural life, sensorial and practical life areas, and to build a lifelong love of learning.
No two children learn the same way. We honour each child's unique pace, strengths, and curiosity through freedom of choice in a prepared environment.
We build self-confidence, self-esteem, initiative, and responsibility — giving every child the tools to say 'I can do it myself.'
Children leave our two-year program knowing how to read, write, and do maths — with the concentration, focus, and love of learning to thrive at school.
Zarine holds a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood and a Diploma in Montessori Studies, with over 25 years of experience delivering the Montessori method. Two of her own children and her grandchildren completed Cycle 1 here — she truly lives the philosophy she teaches.
